Chardonnay
Chardonnay is a white wine grape varietal. It is is from the Burgundy wine region of France but widely grown from New Zealand and Australia to California. Rich butter vanilla aroma if aged in oak. Crisp fresh if in stainless steel. Used in Sparkling wine and Champagne. Personality of Sharon Stone or Scarlett Johansson.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Word Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon one of the most widely recognized red wine grape. It's a crossing between Cabernet franc and Sauvignon blanc. Medium to full body. The George Clooney among grapes. Pairs well with meats and chocolate.
Australia's First Families of Wine Tahbilk Wines
Australia's First Families of Wine are all about that-family. Twelve families of wine with some of Australia's finest vineyards, with over 1200 years of collective winemaking experience.
We attended a wine tasting with 11 of the 12 families recently in Toronto with a "speed dating" style tasting, whereby the media and VIP tasters moved from table to table meeting and tasting the wines.
We were delighted to meet Alister Purbrick CEO Tahbilk Winery and Vineyard, the oldest winery in Victoria and 5th oldest in all of Australia.
